The D-50 GL9 is not recommended for use with pistol caliber carbines (PCC) because the length of the drop turret will not support it in most caliber magazine wells. This unauthorized position can cause the turret magazine holder to wear out his hand and (in weapons different from the factory magazine specification) can lead to misfires and stoppages. The name sounds like the nonsense of an ignorant prohibitionist, but .50 caliber Glocks are real. Guncrafter Industries makes a conversion slide for the G21 and G41 to accept their 50GI cartridge. The teardrop is a budget alternative to the $4,000 Ultimate Longslide 1911, Model 4. At $595 to $660, they get a 50GI trigger at a lower price than the 1911 model.
Holding ten rounds in a slightly stretched magazine or nine rounds in a single loaded magazine, this conversion allows for more punch per shot. The theory behind this cycle is simple: why waste some of the kinetic energy expanding the projectile when you can start it before it expands?
The 50GI is a lower caliber like the classic .455 Webley. At the same pressure as the 45ACP, it's easier on the shooter and produces more rapid fire, something not found in the 50AE or 50S&W. from 185g at 1200fps to 275g at 875fps, and the 300g JSP is available for practice as well as for punching in the rough. At 700 fps, the 300g load is at the same power level as the 44 Special - a smooth, lightweight material that works well for quick second and third shots when needed. All expanding bullets are designed for thin-skinned human enemies, and the 230-grainer makes holes that deep and nearly an inch wide. The light for 185 gr stops at 9 inches but makes a wider path. The chronographed barrel is very close to the 4.5 inch barrel and is higher than the models with 5-6 inch barrels.
All copper construction works well in changing speed to expansion without splitting or falling petals. Flash was very low in all weights I tried (185, 230, 275 and 300).

As you can see, the crimped rim allows for a 45ACP rim. The magazine is easy to load with just one finger. Depending on the load, the number of muzzle bends is small or negligible, determined by the experience level 45ACP. One drawback of the Glock revolver compared to the nice long 1911 is the reduction in accuracy. My 9-shot group from 10 yards is about 2.25 inches, while the 1911 with its larger radius and the better one brings a 7-shot group within an inch. Again, on the #4 long jump, the group size is 10 yards less than the size of a scattered bullet! Things aren't quite as good with Glocks, though the difference is probably more ergonomic than mechanical.
Because 50GI ammo is expensive, shooters are expected to train using the high-quality 45ACP and carry the 50GI. Given the similarity of the shooting experience of the two calibers and the good reliability of the conversion, this is the right way. Unlike other powerful cartridges such as 10mm Auto and 44Mag, the 50GI does not exhaust the shooter during the action and is gentle on the ears without protection and subsonic load.
Compared to the standard Glock magazine, the conversion offers less capacity, from 13+1 to 8+1. Each shot increases the face area by about 22% both before and after expansion. The deal is up to you. Should I shoot nine more pot shots before reloading or shoot five more shots before I need a mag ring?
As you can see, there is an elongated barrel. Although they add a bit of speed, a belt for those who block it is optional. Although the 50GI is currently only available from Guncrafter Industries, many handloading instructions call for even smaller loads. Burning metal can be used many times.
